The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is also first on the calendar for the year over four massive from 23 through to 26 May. This show attracts over 300 exhibitors with both on-water and on-land displays of all types of watercraft – small and the ultimate luxury cruisers. For those that can’t make Sanctuary Cove and even for those that can, the Sydney International Boat Show to held 1-4 August is a definite for the diary. Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour and the ICC will be awash with all things boating and that includes buyers keen to capture the latest models and check out new tech and accessories. Just a month after Sydney, with the dates in September yet to be released, attention turns to the west coast and the Perth Boat Show. This is a very popular event on the WA boating calendar with trailer boats, PWCs, jet skis, other watercraft, motors, techs and lots more on display.

2024 Boating Expos and Outdoor Events
While the major shows are held in major cities and centres, there are still great buying opportunities with massive calendar of lifestyle expos held each year around the country. While some of these focus primarily on caravans and RVs, many do include boating exhibitors and it can be worth checking the exhibitor listings when one is coming your way.
A number of these events coming up include the Moreton Bay Expo on 17 and 18 February; the Cairns Expos from 10 through 12 May; and Townsville Expo from 17 through 19 May.
To inspire to buy, also check out what’s happening in boating in your area. For sailing enthusiasts the Festival of Sails is held in Geelong over the Australia Day long weekend. Over the weekend of 24-25 February, Sydney Harbour becomes a waterway racetrack when the Sail GP event is held. There are opportunities to join hospitality craft on the water or take up a vantage point on land to catch the high speed action.
In February the Offshore Superboat Racing gets underway and in March the Sydney Superyacht Festival and Fremantle Boat and Seafood Festival are scheduled. Plenty to see and do across the boating industry for enthusiasts and buyers to enjoy.
